Lens Choices
With a point shoot camera you really don’t have much choice of lenses as the lens is built into the camera and cannot be removed. The only true choice you have is when shopping for the camera in the first place, at this time you can choose a camera that has a lens you feel would suit your photography best. Some of the larger point and shoot cameras do have a lens adapter ring to which you can attach additional adapters that sit over the built in lens and we talk about these a bit later.
With a DSLR your lens choices are almost limitless, you can even use competing brand lenses with proper adapters! Obviously as far as lens choices are concerned the DSLR is a clear winner.
