Hot spots
This is a non-issue for point and shoot cameras if you plan on an infrared conversion as we only service cameras that do not have a hot spot issue. If you plan on just using a infrared filter in front of the lens then it’s a bit of a crapshoot, you really need to try it as there isn’t a way to know if there would be a hot spot otherwise.
With a DSLR since there is such a broad range of lenses to choose from and the fact that they are interchangeable you can always find a good lens that doesn’t have this issue. We talk more about this later.
