Upgrades
Well, neither P&S cameras nor DSLRS are upgradable BUT when you buy a new DSLR you can use all of your existing lenses, which you cannot due with a P&S camera. Provided you stick with the same camera brand and lens mount.
Point and shoot cameras are so cheap that it’s often not even worth to do a repair if one breaks as the cost of the repair is often more than a new one.
