Product Description
With this conversion service we will replace the internal hot mirror filter with a high quality custom made infrared glass filter. This will allow your camera to capture infrared light instead of visible light. After IR conversion you won’t need any filters in front of the lens and the camera will be just as sensitive to infrared as it was to visible light. This means you can hand hold and compose normally.
Focus calibration is also performed to allow point & shoot cameras to focus infrared light accurately.
Our most popular infrared filter is the Super Color IR due to its versatility in allowing stunning color and monochrome infrared images but it does require some Photoshop post production.
These cameras require ultra thin filters and because of this the Deep BW filter for these model will still have a little visible light leakage. In order to obtain a pure BW image you may need to set your camera to capture in BW mode.
If you are unsure which IR filter type to choose please be sure to go through the Start Here section. It should give you everything you need but if you find you still have questions please feel free to contact us by phone or email, we are always happy to help.
Our 1 year warranty is included on conversion services and installed IR filters.
After you place your order you will receive an email with instructions on how to send us your camera.

I recently had my Canon Powershot G10 converted to 720nm IR. Extremely please by the whole LifePixel experience. I shot a lot of IR in the film days and forgot just how fun it was, now thanks to the recent LifePixel conversation, that old spark has been rekindled. The entire transaction was fast and easy, they let me know when my camera arrived to them, and when it was on its way home. I would highly recommended LifePixel to anyone thinking of doing a IR conversion……Thanks again LifePixel

I decided to try infrared photography with my old Canon G10. I was pleased with the way LifePixel handled the process. I really liked the new opportunities with the converted camera. In the summer, I’ve dome more infrared photography than working with my conventional gear. I loved the fact that Infrared photography works well in mid-day light, when the light is not great for regular pictures. When I realized the opportunities and that I’m going to do much more infrared photography, I sent one of my Nikon DSLRs to LifePixel to get it converted too.
