1. Welcome, please tell us about yourself and your background
I was born and raised in Italy’s capital, Rome. Surrounded and inspired by the architectural, artistic and natural beauty of the Roman landscape. As a result it seemed to be an innate choice for me to become immersed in the arts. I moved to England’s capital, London in 1982 and began to explore. My exploration lead me to become deeply involved in photography and fine art whilst I was in England, not only drawing from my roots, but also taking in a wider inspiration.
I firmly planted myself amongst the vibrant and burgeoning arts culture of London in the 80’s and it wasn’t long until the Italian magazine “Frigidaire” invited me to mastermind a photographic and illustrative observation of the Youth culture in London and it’s International influence for them, this was the beginning of my photographic journey.

5. What do you like best about IR photography?
If I were to pick one reason, it would be because I see digital infrared photography as a connection to fine art painting.
6. If you could pass on just one tip about IR, what would it be?
The camera conversion with 590 nm IR is an excellent choice, for both black and white, and colour.
7. Do you have any projects currently going you would like to discuss?
I am currently working on “Anatomy of the 15th century” this is a project analysing the current aspect of cultural society and historical portraitures in a photographic re-interpretation.
