In spite of my “many” annoying questions during my camera conversion process Daniel continually provided me with the best (and most thoughtful) customer service that I have ever experienced in my life.
I recently sent my Canon Rebel T3i to be converted to Super Colour and I am very happy with it. They converted my camera really quickly and it’s working very well. Thanks guys!
I recently had my second camera super color conversion done by LifePixel and I could not be happier. Fast friendly service and their staff has been ultra helpful in answering the questions I’ve had. These guys rock!
I’m very happy with my enhanced color filter IR converted D5100. It works great and I’m getting a lot of great images. If you are thinking about having a camera converted to IR just do it, you will not regret it.
I just received my camera conversion along with a lens calibration, unpacked it and went directly outside to take some test shots. They were perfect! Now some fun in photoshop.
Want to say thank you very much for as clear work on my camera.
It was in 3 camera repair places also Canon CPS and they want to exchange all sensor, here only in 10 days. Amazing job.
Best wishes

I was nervous as hell about the idea but I did it: I had Life Pixel strip out the OLPF from my barely broken in D750. I was promised a one-week turn around (most likely) and that’s exactly what I got. Seven days after receipt my D750 was on its way back to me. Communication with Daniel was always prompt and professional.
As for the difference, before vs. after filter removal, all I can say is, “Wow!”… I’m so glad I had it done. Images without the filter in place have a sharpness and clarity that I knew the D750 was capable of but simply couldn’t give me with the low-pass filter in place. Struggling with Photoshop’s USM and/or NIK Tools to get everything I can out of my RAW files has been replaced with images seem to leap right off the screen with only the lightest touch of processing.
If you are considering having “The Surgery” done to your D750, all I can say is I’m really glad I went through with it. I didn’t think it would be possible to look any *more* forward to racking up the “miles” on my D750, but it’s like shooting a different camera with OLPF removed.
Kudos to Daniel and the folks at Life Pixel for a great outcome.
More companies should model themselves after these guys, fantastic service. I had a small issue that required the camera to be returned. It was repaired and shipped with no cost involved. Daniel kept me advised of the process from start to finish.
Much mahalo to LifePixel Infrared Camera Conversion for bringing my DSLR back to life and sparking my interest in IR photography! I am fully pleased with the initial conception, from working with Daniel, to receiving my camera back. I chose the Deep BW IR filter and was so pleased with the results that I converted another camera to the Super Blue IR filter and now am twice as satisfied with my twin choices. I chose those filters because of the limited post-processing that is needed and realized that my iPad was all I needed to edit my RAW images because I don’t use PS or LR at all. Thank you LifePixel!!!
Have been very happy with my new conversion. I got my T3i converted with the Super Blue filter. There definately is a learning curve, but I am starting to understand what I am doing and learning what I need to produce IR and/or UV photos. I have had my camera several weeks now and have loved the learning process. The company was great and “held” my hand, so to speak, while I anxiously waited for them to return my baby. They even went out of there way to keep me happy when I decided to change from the original filter up to the Super Blue after they had my camera and were working on it.
You cant ask for a better company, or better folks that work in that company. Dont have any doubts when you decide to send your camera to these guys. Will be having another camera converted before long to full spectrum. I know who I will be having do the work.
