My low pass filter over my sensor had been visibly scratched by a lug-headed camera repair shop during a routine cleaning. I contacted N**on and they wanted $1500 to replace the entire sensor assembly because they won’t even consider repairing a scratched low pass filter. Holy Cow! That’s nearly the cost of a whole new camera. Contacted LifePixel and they discussed the repair process with me and assured me it was repairable. The process of ordering the repair and getting the camera to there and back was simple. Camera was clean and worked like a charm after I got it back. Thanks for getting my D800 back to proper operation.
Life Pixel’s infrared conversion service is everything promised and more. They turned around a camera as promised. I took the advice that the Panasonic Lumix works well and does it ever! I could not be happier.

I have had both a Canon and a Nikon converted with LIfePixel and could not be more pleased with the quality and professionalism I have had. I also had the focus on the lenses calibrated which gives me tack sharp images. These guys know what they are doing.
I recently purchased a used Nikon D80 for the sole purpose of having it converted to infrared. I sent the camera to lifepixel.com for conversion. The photos the D80 took were great. While changing from color to black and white the shutter broke, not Life Pixel’s fault. I called their office and they said that all I had to do was return the camera and they would check it out. About a week late a fine fellow named Daniel Malkin called me and said they could not repair it. They did, however, tell me they would buy another D80, convert it, and return it for no charge. Great service! So far I have had two other D80s converted and given them as gifts to friends.
The camera I got from LifePixel is back and I am satisfied. I photograph as before from the hand without a tripod, but from the infra red effect. I look forward to spring. Jan Vizner Czech Republic.

Not knowing anything about infrared, I was ordering a conversion for a present for my son, so couldn’t consult with him. I muddled my way through until contacting Daniel in customer service. He was very patient, knowledgeable and helpful! He walked me through all the options, issues, recommendations, etc. so I felt comfortable with my decision.
