I heard it once said that you haven’t arrived as an artist until someone steals your work. Unfortunately the internet makes it easier everyday for someone to just take that perfect image you worked so hard to create.
I just learned of a new website designed to help you stop your work from being pirated.
It is called PIXSY (http://www.pixsy.com) and their mission is straight forward
“Copyright infringement hurts artists. Yet the costs of asserting and defending a copyright infringement claim have risen far out of proportion with the harm done. This is bad not only for creatives, but sole proprietors and small businesses as well.
When PIXSY encounters unlicensed imagery on the web, we seek fair restitution on behalf the photographer as an alternative to aggressive legal tactics. Copyright infringement is never excusable. It shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg, though.”
They currently have a Beta version online for artists to request. To join you only need to request an invitation. Something to consider.

A student of the works of Ansel Adams, Any Warhol, and David Hamilton, Dan attempted to keep a wide range of artistic style.
