These Olympus internal infrared filters are the same ones we use in house to perform IR conversions. Made available for camera repair shop and DIY use. We use Schott Glass filter stock to produce our filters, this German company is regarded as the world’s finest optical filter materials manufacturer.
Each Olympus filter band produces a unique result, see the filter choices page for photo examples taken with each filter type.
Frameless Installation
For some camera models our DIY filters are supplied to fit the OEM filter mounting frames and for other camera models they are supplied in a different size and/or thickness, which will require the frameless installation method as outlined here: DIY Installation Guide For Frameless Filters
DIY Infrared Conversion Tutorials
We have the world’s largest collection of DIY IR camera conversion tutorials, chances are we have one posted for your camera model. So be sure to check them out – you may find them extremely helpful when you perform your own conversion.
Note: Be certain you have the technical skills to perform the required conversion – All DIY filter sales are final.
Disclaimer: These replacement filters are intended for experienced professionals. Tampering with your camera will void your manufacturer’s warranty. If you decide to perform the conversion you could damage your camera or be hurt or get killed from the high voltage present – you do so at your own risk, we are not responsible for camera damage or any harm you may suffer or any special or consequential damages. Also, by visiting this site and purchasing you are legally bound by our Terms of Use Agreement, we highly recommend you read it.
Focus Warning: Because of the complexity and requirement for specialized precision equipment, advanced training and experience, we do not provide any information regarding focus calibration whatsoever.
The mere act of removing the sensor from within the camera could potentially ruin the original factory calibration and render your camera completely incapable of achieving proper focus. If this happens we will be unable to help you and even the manufacturer may refuse to service your camera. This is very serious stuff folks.
Focus and dust are in fact the most difficult parts of the conversion process. We highly recommend you send your camera in for conversion instead of attempting to do this yourself.
All filters are inspected to be free from scratches and other defects – all sales are final.

Really great filters that definitely open up possibilities. Beautifully clear images. I went with a full spectrum conversion for my spare E-M10. It might be wise to let Lifepixel do the mod for you. I have an IBIS issue that won’t let my camera start up normally, likely caused by something I did wrong. I lost a screw into the magnets for a bit in the process. I got it out, but not sure what I might have hit in the process of the retrieval. I have a workaround for the startup issue, but the workaround needs me to start out with my camera plugged into my computer when I turn it on.

These are excellent quality filters. I bought 2 filters – a 720nm and a 665nm filter to convert 2 different Olympus cameras.
The DIY tutorials for each camera were easy to follow, and the conversions went smoothly. I’m glad that Lifepixel include 2 self adhesive stickers with each filter, as I used both on the first camera I converted.
I am happy with the results from both cameras, although I now wish I had gotten a 590nm filter to go with the 720nm one. Maybe next time?
