Product Description
Capture more detailed images by having us modify your Panasonic Lumix Cinema Camera by removing the AA Anti-Aliasing filter stack and replacing it with our non-AA replacement filter. This allows you to capture more image detail that would otherwise be blurred internally by the anti-aliasing filter. The main drawbacks are occasional moire patterns in some images and slight WB shift. For more information please visit the Anti-Aliasing Filter Removal blog post.
The dust reduction feature will continue to function normally as the AA filter sits between the dust reduction filter and the sensor.
Our 1 year warranty is included on the conversion service and installed filter replacing the original anti-aliasing filter.
After you place your order you will receive an email with instructions on how to send us your camera.
White Balance Tips
When setting a custom white balance with a full spectrum modified Sony camera you may see a white balance error message. The purpose of this message is to inform you that the colors are out of the normal range expected by the camera. Of course they are, as it’s been converted! The camera still sets the white balance even though it doesn’t like the colors it’s seeing, so just ignore the message.
Also, you may notice that when you set a custom white balance the camera gives you a Kelvin temperature number as well. This number is completely inaccurate so don’t try to take a shortcut by just setting the WB to this Kelvin number – the results will be completely different from a real custom white balance setting.
1 Year Conversion Service Warranty
Company warrants the conversion service for a period of 1 year from date of conversion order completion. The warranty is void if the tamper sticker is damaged or removed, converted components have been tampered with, subjected to any abuse or misuse, or if failure to operate properly arises from any foreign elements such as dirt, corrosion, or liquid identified as present within the converted components. The warranty does not cover any other components of the camera except the conversion service and components provided by Company as part of the conversion service.
You must notify Company of a warranty claim within the warranty period, obtain RMA number and ship to Company facility as instructed. The Company is not responsible for lost or damaged shipments, shipping insurance is highly recommended. The Company will repair or replace the conversion and/or conversion components or provide you funds to do so, as determined by Company.
In case of damage during shipping Customer must retain all shipping materials and contact Company within 10 days of shipment receipt to allow for a shipping damage claim to be filed. If Company determines that the damage occurred during shipping and shipping materials were not retained and/or Company was not contacted within 10 days of receipt then the warranty is void.
